To see you cuts me like a knife

Two pieces of good news: my luggage insurance looks to be kicking in, so my time in luggage-less purgatory may be drawing to a close, and I may get some new duds. (God knows if I'll ever get reimbursed for my Firewire or my DVDs or all the receipts the snackbags at Alitalia look to have permanently lost).

Also: they play Poison in Africa. I had just come up with a good idea for the lede of a story when "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" came over the radio at my lunch place. I got to celebrate by totally rocking out.
Hugely important update which perhaps only my brothers will appreciate: the radio at the cafe is now playing Midnight Star's "No Parking On The Dance Floor." Holy rocking God.

In less surprising news, South Carolina ("First in secession, last in you heart") continues to be a frigging embarrassment to everyone, everywhere, always.
