Ghana's president gets selected to head the African Union, and a Bush administration envoy threatens a "Plan B" consisting of "extremely aggressive measures" against the Sudanese government if it doesn't change its policies.
That's straight out of Carrot and Stick central casting: Ghana's got Pan-African cred, and we've got our crazy-guys-with-a-couple-aircraft-carriers-and-nothing-to-do schtick down. We'll see if any of it has any effect on the Sudanese.
