FanHouse: Wed. AM 'Wives and Girlfriends' Edition

In honor of Lindsay (sp?) Lohan.

Wives and Girlfriends:
The Debriefing: There Are Sports That Could Use a Good Scandal: Landon Donovan has to engage in sexual congress with Victoria Beckham. It all comes to a head on the playing field ... when teammates Donovan and Beckham get into a heated argument, and then some other Galaxy teammate, let's say Ante Jazic, comes over and slugs Landon in the face because he believes, like Roy Munson, that "you don't mow another guy's lawn."

Report: Brynn Cameron Wants Matt Leinart to Pay $30,000 a Month in Child Support: The first reaction from many people will be that $360,000 a year in child support is a ridiculous amount of money. But don't forget that the total value of Leinart's six-year contract with the Cardinals is more than $50 million, and he makes a few million a year in endorsements, too.

Penthouse Pet Claims Ex-Oakland Raider Marcus Allen Calls Her 15 Times a Day: Marcus Allen is a 47-year-old man. When you're a 47-year-old man and you meet an attractive young woman, the key is not to look desperate, and when Allen met Williams, it sounds as though Allen wasn't able to manage that.

Barry's Ex-Mistress To Appear In Playboy: Bell has talked before of her dealings with Bonds, and his alleged steroid use and tax evasion. Bonds' lawyer, Michael Rains, couldn't be reached for comment on the latest grenade launched at his client.

Is Alyssa Milano Really Chasing After Dodger Catcher Russell Martin? When you see a woman who's as big of a Dodgers and baseball fan as Alyssa is, and you combine her looks and history of dating ballplayers, then there's excellent reason to suppose this report is true.

Golf:

Why Do Golfers Choke? They Think Too Much: According to ScienceBlogs.com, the answer to that question reveals some important elements of skill learning and the unconscious brain. When you're a beginner, you're much better off giving a lot of thought to every shot, analyzing it, contemplating it. But there comes a point, if you play enough golf, when you actually know the right way to approach a putt even if you don't know you know it.

NBA:
Tim Donaghy Video: Ref Warns Player Instead of Making the Call: As you'll see in the following video, Donaghy touches Warriors center Andris Biedrens, most likely to warn him of an impending defensive three seconds call if he doesn't move out of the lane.

NCAA Football:
Weis Loses Malpractice Lawsuit: At least he's used to it. Our long national nightmare -- and hopefully the Wizard of Odds' frighteningly comprehensive coverage of it -- is over.

Football's Dirtiest Programs: #6, Cal: The two cases considered for this ranking both involved academic fraud and unethical conduct with the most recent of them earning Cal the "lack of institutional control" ding. The Golden Bears were actually saved from a much higher ranking by some unusually soft punishments in their 1988 case.

Football's Dirtiest Programs: #7, Washington: Washington is the first of the programs we've covered to get hit with two violations in the last 20 years and having read the circumstances surrounding both violations, I have to say that these might be two of the most trumped-up violations we run across.

NFL:
Packers Fans Sentenced for Locking Son in Filthy Room While Watching Game at Casino: The couple certainly had enough money to hire a babysitter for Hardrath's son, as court documents (PDF) show that they had the boy living in filth even though they had spent close to $1 million on Packers memorabilia.
