It's snowing in New York City

and I'm going to take a break from blogging for a little while. Maybe a week, maybe right up until I leave for Kenya. Haven't had the time to do this blog justice, and that's not likely to change in the immediate Afri-prepping future. I love working on it, but I can't do my big plans justice right now. I want to pay someone a few bucks to make johnness.com look good, and get some better-than-mediocre content on it. That will be much more doable after I've read 12 more books about Africa, done more Africa stories, gone to Africa. In the meantime, if I can't create the site I want to create, I'd rather spend the time watching the snowflakes fall and working through my own excitement/trepidation about the future. I'll send out a big email when this bitch is back up and kicking ass.
