Lundquist: You might notice, obviously, that Texas is dressed in black, rather than their road orange. Burnt orange. This is in honor of the 100th anniversary of Texas basketball. That second sentence of Packer's really came out like that: one long spaghetti string of thought. Like he realized what he was saying on live TV, that he was whacking the biggest brand in sports, and he wanted get the idea out there and over with as quickly as possible.
(awkward pause.)
Lundquist: I'm not sure what the black and the 100 years has to do with anything.
Packer: Well, it is Nike. Nike is involved with Texas and-
Lundquist: -Thank you.
Packer: -and they've done the same thing with other people. They use the Nike colors to celebrate the 100th anniversary I don't know if think that's in the best interests of intercollegiate sports but that's where we are.
Lundquist: I appreciate your truth in advertising.
To Packer's credit though, he added during the next possession: "It's like Willie Sutton says, 'You rob banks 'cause that's where the money is.'" To which Lunduist guffawed and offered a noncommittal "My goodness" that would do Charlie Rose proud.
This follows up on Nike's unsubtle insertion onto the cover of the last weekend's NYT Magazine:

I rarely agree with Billy Packer on anything, but I shall defer to the country's preeminent Duke-hating sportscaster for once.
