On the subject of embarrassing play: You can argue whether NBA players are trying to sink their teams to win better lottery picks. But when Celtics coach Doc Rivers get rewarded for failure and Hawks star Josh Smith gets punished for success, it's hard to deny that the league's front offices are utterly shameless about this sort of thing.
And while we are impressed to see the Indians giving envelopes of money to snowed-out ticket-holders, we are unimpressed by Ray Lewis, who seemed to expect someone to do him the same favor when his NASCAR plans didn't work out.
